Argentina - Resolution 1038/2021

The Secretaría de Comercio Interior in the Ministerio de Desarrollo Productivo in Argentina has published Resolution 1038/2021, updating Resolution 169/2018 for Electrical Safety Equipment. Changes to the Resolution include modifying the minimum tests required for product compliance (listed in Annex 2) and adding the following products to require mandatory Electrical Safety Certification:

LED lamps and LED-mounted modules
Portable hand tools and lawn and garden machinery that are powered by an electric motor
Handheld devices for skin and hair such as razors and massage equipment
Electrical household kitchen equipment heat, cut, process, or blend food
