The Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) released Type Approval Guidelines 2023 on February 27, 2023, sharing updates on the type approval process and replacing certain standards. BOCRA has also reiterated that supplying or possessing telecommunications or broadcasting equipment that has not been type approved is a violation of the Type Approval Regulations and could lead to the non-type approved equipment being seized by BOCRA.
