The Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) of China released an announcement on April 17, 2023 on Adjusting Matters Concerning Security Management of Dedicated Network Security Products.
The announcement will take place beginning July 1, 2023.
Network security-specific products listed in the Catalog of Key Network Equipment and Network Security-Specific Products must comply with requirements of relevant national standards, and may only be sold after passing safety certification from a qualified institution or meeting safety inspection requirements.
Sales Licenses will no longer be issued, and product manufacturers will no longer need to apply for a Sales License. Products that have previously received a Sales License may continue to be sold during the period of validity.
