July, 2022

The Electronics Communications Committee (ECC) has released the following public consultations on July 1, 2022:

  • Draft CEPT Report 82 – Harmonized least restrictive technical conditions for the 40.5-43.5 GHz frequency band

  • Draft ECC Decision (22)06 – Harmonized technical conditions for Mobile/Fixed Communications Networks (MFCN) in the band 40.5-43.5 GHz

  • Draft ECC Decision (22)07 – Harmonized technical conditions of the usage of aerial UE for communications based on LTE and 5G NR in the following MFCN harmonized bands 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2 GHz and 2.6 GHz

  • Draft ECC Recommendation (22)01 – Guidelines to support the introduction of MFCN in 40.5-43.5 GHz while ensuring, in a proportionate way, the use of FSS receiving earth stations in the frequency band 40.5-42.5 GHz and the use of FSS transmitting earth stations in the frequency band 42.5-43.5 GHz and the possibility for future deployment of these earth stations

  • Draft ECC Recommendation (22)02 – Measures to facilitate compatibility between MFCN operating in 40.5-43.5 GHz and FSS earth stations receiving in 39.5-40.5 GHz and to prevent and/or resolve interference issues

  • Draft ECC Report 347 – Analysis of the suitability and update of the regulatory technical conditions for 5G MFCN and AAS operation in the 2300-2400 MHz band

  • Draft ECC Report 348 – Usage of aerial UE in 1.8 GHz, 2 GHz and 2.6 GHz frequency bands with MFCN AAS base station

The consultations may be accessed here, and will be available for comments until August 12, 2022.
