The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has extended the implementation date for the standard IS 1293:2019 to October 23, 2022. This standard replaces IS 1293:2005 for “Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes of rated voltage up to and including 250V and rated current up to and including 16 A.”
