India (TEC) - MTCTE Phases 3 and 4 Update

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India has revised MTCTE Phases 3 and 4 to include the following changes:

  • February 1, 2022 to July 1, 2022, there is a relaxation for Phase 4 products. The requirement of EMI/EMC and Safety Certification by February 1, 2022 has been removed. Complete ER Certification is mandatory starting July 1, 2022.

  • There are no changes in mandatory dates for Phase 3 products.

  • Test reports issued by TEC labs for all parameters will be valid for up to 5 years.

  • Test reports issued by ILAC labs for technical parameters will be valid for up to 2 years in respect of the products listed in Annexure-II.

  • Test reports issued by ILAC labs from countries that share a border with India will not be accepted for MTCTE Certification.
