Malaysia (MCMC) - Class Assignment No. 2 of 2022

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has released Class Assignment No. 2 of 2022 on July 25, 2022. These Class Assignments are now in effect, and revoke Class Assignment No. 1 of 2022.


Changes include the following:


1. Short-Range Devices (SRDs)

  • Splitting the 5150-5350 MHz frequency band

2. Fixed-Satellite Service Earth Station

  • Removing the following frequency bands

11464-11700 MHz (downlink)

14253.5-14489.5 MHz (uplink)

12258.5-12494.5 MHz (downlink)

13789-14242 MHz (uplink)

  • Adding the following frequency bands

10950-11200 MHz (downlink)

11450-11700 MHz (downlink)

12200-12750 MHz (downlink)

13750-14500 MHz (uplink)

19700-21200 MHz (downlink) /

29500-30000 MHz (uplink)


3. Wireless Microphone Device

  • Adding the 5725-5850 MHz frequency band

4. Mobile Satellite Access Device

  • Removing the following frequency bands

2485.5-2520 MHz

2670-2690 MHz


5. Satellite Broadcasting Receiver Device

  • Adding the 11.20-11.45 GHz frequency band

6. Inductive Application Device

  • Removing the following bands

2400-2500 MHz

5725-5875 MHz
