The Federal Institute of Telecommunication (IFETEL) of Mexico has published an amendment on PEC (Procedure of Conformity Evaluation) which informs changes on the requirement for local representatives of IFT Homologation. Besides local importers, now affiliates or local agents can also be Certificate Holders of IFT Certificates. IFT homologations can now be extended to various importers.
This change is intended to reduce IFT’s analysis deadlines for future projects.
