Mexico (IFT) - Public Consultation on Updating Technical Operating Conditions for 57-64 GHz Band

The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFETEL) of Mexico has opened a public consultation on the Draft Agreement in which the Plenary of IFETEL updates the technical operating conditions for the use of the 57-64 GHz frequency band, which is classified as free spectrum. The aim of this Draft Agreement is to update terms and definitions of the current regulation regarding the operation of the 57-64 GHz band to benefit the general public by encouraging technological innovation and promoting the deployment of new technologies related to motion sensors in Mexico.

The consultation may be accessed here and will be open for comments until March 25, 2022
