Oman OMC Adopts EU RoHS Directive for Telecom and Medical Devices

The Oman Ministry of Commerce (OMC) has published a ministerial decree in response to the European Directive 2011/65/EU and its 2015 and 2017 amendments for telecommunications and medical devices. According to the ministerial decree, certain hazardous substances in telecommunications equipment and medical devices should comply with limits established in European Directive 2011/65/EU. The proposed date of adoption for this ministerial decree is December 2021, and it is expected to enter into force in June 2022.
