Singapore IMDA Deadline on Residential Gateway Requirements

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore published IMDA TS RG-SEC regarding security requirements for Residential Gateway products on October 1, 2020. This Technical Specification was released to ensure that Residential Gateway products and IoT devices located within consumers homes that connect to the gateways are secure.

Due to requests from industry and RG vendors, IMDA has extended the deadline for compliance with IMDA TS RG-SEC for existing RGs to May 1, 2022.

Starting May 1, 2022, compliance with IMDA TS RG-SEC for existing RGs is required.
