The Secretary of State of the United Kingdom published the Radio Equipment Amendment - Northern Ireland Regulations 2023 on March 13, 2023. These regulations apply to smart phones and require that mobile phones be constructed so that they would be able to have access to emergency services.
These regulations came into effect on April 3, 2023.
