The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA has updated the Knowledge DataBase (KDB) Entry 986446 responding how the recently adopted FCC 22-84 affects the FCC Equipment Authorization Process. The KDB Entry was updated on April 11, 2023, and included the updated equipment guidance - 986446 D01 Covered Equipment Guidance v02 on how the FCC 22-84 impacts the equipment authorization process.
Through the adoption of FCC-22-84 and as explained by KDB 986446 D01 Covered Equipment V01, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA has updated the TCB Application Requirements under Rule Part 2.911(d). Effective February 6th, 2023, the FCC now requires a local USA agent or entity for all TCB applications. An attestation letter confirming that both the equipment and applicant is or is not included on the Covered List is also now mandatory.
