Vanuatu TRBR - Proposed Spectrum for IMT 2020 5G

The Telecommunications, Radiocommunications & Broadcasting Regulator (TRBR) in Vanuatu has proposed the Spectrum for IMT 2020 (5G) on December 21, 2021. This document outlines potential frequency bands identified for 5G use in Vanuatu, which are in the “Mid” and “High” frequency bands as defined by the ITU World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC) in 2015 and 2019.


Mid-Frequency Bands:

  • 2600 MHz (2500-2690 MHz)

  • 3.5 GHz (3400-3600 MHz)

High-Frequency Bands (mmWave):

  • 26 GHz (24.25-27.5 GHz)

  • 40 GHz (37-43.5 GHz)

  • 66-71 GHz
