Vietnam (MIC) - New Mandatory Technical Requirements for Radars

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam published the National technical regulation on radars operating in the frequency range 76 GHz to 77 GHz for ground based vehicles (124:2021/BTTTT) which becomes effective on July 1, 2022 in Vietnam.


The regulation applies to integrated transceivers and receivers of radars that operate in the frequency range 76 GHz to 77 GHz as well as to short-range radio equipment intended for use in land vehicles and specifies relevant technical characteristics and test methods


Vietnamese and foreign organizations, and individuals that have production and business activities of such equipment must meet the requirements of this regulation to put the product in the Vietnamese territory.


The effective radiated power of any spurious emissions of the transmitter shall not exceed the following values:

















The effective radiated power of any narrowband receiver spurious emissions shall not exceed the following values:

















The Ministry of Information and Communications permits using test results issued not only by designated domestic testing laboratories, or recognized foreign testing laboratories but also manufacturer's own lab for conformity assessment procedure. Such opportunity was granted from a perception the applicant must be inspected by state management agencies.
