Effective June 1, 2025, Malaysia's Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will cancel the class assignment for fixed-satellite service earth stations and ultra-wideband (UWB) communication devices operating in the 3400 MHz to 3700 MHz frequency band.
This action, issued under Section 169 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Regulation 28 of the Communications and Multimedia (Spectrum) Regulations 2000, means that the use of any such equipment in this frequency range will no longer be permitted after the effective date.
