The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of Korea announced revisions to its Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test methods through Announcement No. 2025-50, published on July 14, 2025.

These revisions, effective one month from the promulgation date (around mid-August 2025), update several key standards and their versions. Noteworthy changes include:

  • KN 62920: The test method for KN 62920 will now specifically refer to "The test is marked with an asterisk 1 of KN 62920" instead of the previous "The test is KN 62920."

  • KN50/KN 51: Similar to the above, the test method for KN50/KN 51 will now be "The test is marked with an asterisk 2 of KN50/KN 51."

  • Specific Standard Revisions:

    • "KS X 3132:2014" has been updated to "KS X 3127:2024."

    • "KS C IEC 60947-1:2017/KS C IEC 60947-2:2022/KS C IEC 60947-4-1:2022" has been revised to "KS C IEC 60947-1:2014/KS C IEC 60947-2:2019/KS C IEC 60947-4-1:2018."

    • "KS B 6955:2019" is now "KS B ISO 8102-1:2020."

    • "KS B 6945:2019" has been changed to "KS B ISO 8102-2:2021."

These revisions are crucial for manufacturers and stakeholders involved in the conformity assessment of broadcasting and communication equipment in Korea, ensuring compliance with the latest electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
