South Korea RRA Issues Priority Notice Amending 5G NR Requirements

The Korea Radio Research Agency (RRA) has issued a priority notice on amended conductivity test methods for 5G NR communication equipment subject to KS X 3270. The revision introduces significant changes to the 5G NR specifications while maintaining existing LTE band configurations.
Overview
Expanded band support: 5G NR frequency support grows from two bands to six, with the addition of n1, n3, n5, and n7.
Duplex methods: 5G NR now supports both Time Division Duplex (TDD) and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD). Previously, only TDD was permitted.
The notice was issued on July 21, 2026, and the revised requirements took effect on July 24, 2026.
