The European Commission is proposing amendments to Directive 2014/53/EU to address essential requirements for radio equipment, including cybersecurity, data protection, and fraud prevention. Due to the complexity of developing harmonized standards, the Commission is extending the application of these requirements until August 1, 2025. An error in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/30 regarding data processing is also being corrected. Once published in the Official Journal, this proposal will be binding across all EU Member States.
