The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has initiated two public consultations concerning critical telecommunications matters:
Draft Radio Frequency Migration Plan: This plan involves the transition and allocation of radio frequency spectrum and is open for comments until May 31, 2024.
Draft International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Roadmap: This roadmap outlines the strategic direction for the development and deployment of international mobile telecommunications technologies. Comments are invited until June 10, 2024.
ICASA has provided access to these documents via their website and physical copies can be obtained from their office. Interested parties are encouraged to submit written representations by the specified deadlines.
