Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is proposing to adopt two new standards:
ANSI C63.2-2023: This standard specifies instrumentation for measuring electromagnetic interference and field strength from 9 kHz to 40 GHz. A six-month transition period is proposed, allowing for compliance with existing requirements in ANSI C63.4-2014 and CISPR 16-1-1.
ANSI C63.10a-2024: This amendment updates compliance testing procedures for unlicensed wireless devices, extending the frequency range to 750 GHz and updating procedures for various device types. A one-year transition period is proposed, during which either the previous edition or the amended version may be used. After this period, new certifications must comply with ANSI C63.10-2020, including the recent corrigendum and amendment.
Comments on these adoptions may be submitted before November 29, 2024, at consultationradiostandards-consultationnormesradio@ised-isde.gc.ca.
